The most important items within the design are the weight and heating system. Floris wanted to keep it simple for everybody using and seeing the dutchtub. He chose half a bowl as a tub and a big spiral as heating system. The design communicates how it works and has a down to earth directness in design and use. If you look at the spiral you can imagine the water going around and fully understand its function.
